Bayview, NSW – 2104
Bayview is a suburb in northern Sydney, located 31 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Pittwater Council and is part of the Northern Beaches region.
History
The area was named after its geographical location, with views across the bay and the Pittwater area. One of the first European settlers in the area was Patrick Bryan, a pastor, who built a house here in 1821, on the site where Bayview Golf Links now stands.
Transport Links
The suburb is situated near Pittwater Road, being one of the major arterial roads on the Northern Beaches, this provides excellent transport links by bus and car to the City and other areas of Greater Sydney.
Shopping
Bayview is home to a selection of shops to cater to daily needs, as well as a number of boating supply and repair shops. A larger selection of shops can be found in nearby Mona Vale.
Schools
Loquat Valley Preparatory School can be found in Bayview, with a wider range of both primary and secondary schools in neighbouring Mona Vale and nearby Warriewood and Narrabeen.
