Living in Cherrybrook
Cherrybrook is a suburb of Sydney, located 27 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Hornsby Shire. Cherrybrook is located in the Hills District of Sydney.
History
The name of the suburb is thought to come from Cherrybrook Cottage, a home built by settlers in 1839. The land was subdivided after World War II and residential development began to accelerate.

The nearest railway station is at Pennant Hills, on the Northern line of the CityRail network. Cherrybrook is well served by Hills Buses.
Shopping and Recreation
Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre and Appletree Shops are the areas two main commercial spaces. There are many sporting and recreational facilities here, including Greenway Park, with a swimming pool, Edward Bennett Oval and Thomas Thompson Park, offering facilities for soccer, cricket and tennis. There is also a large network of bushwalking trails throughout the area, as part of the Berowra Bushland Reserve.
