Eastgardens, NSW – 2036
Eastgardens is a suburb in south-eastern Sydney, located 9km south east of the Sydney central business district and is part of the City of Botany Bay.
History
The suburb was originally part of neighbouring suburb Pagewood, until a large Westfield Eastgardens opened here in 1987 and the suburb was renamed.
Transport Links
The area is well served by buses to the City and CBD and is roughly 15 minutes by car from the City.
Shopping and Recreation
The small suburb is dominated by the large shopping centre, Westfield Eastgardens, providing great shopping facilities. The suburb also benefits from its close proximity to Heffron Park and Mutch Park, providing lots of space for walking, jogging and cycling. Surfers and swimmers can make the short journey to the fantastic beaches of Maroubra or Coogee.
Schools
The neighbouring suburbs of Malabar, Pagewood, Maroubra and Matraville provide a fantastic selection of schools for all ages, abilities and denominations.
