Five Dock, NSW – 2046
Five Dock is a suburb in the inner-west of Sydney, located 10 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the Local Government Area of the City of Canada Bay.
History
The name is believed to have come from the five inlets, or ‘docks’ along the waterfront in the area. In 1806, John Harris named his farm there ‘Five Dock Farm’, today the land on which the farm once stood now encompasses Five Dock, Chiswick, Abbotsford and part of Drummoyne. The land was subdivided in the 1920s to make way for greater residential development.

The area is well equipped with a variety of schools both public and private, for all ages and denominations.
