North Strathfield, NSW – 2137
North Strathfield is a suburb in the inner-west of Sydney, located 15 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Canada Bay.
History
North Strathfield was originally a large industrialised area until recent years, when the suburb has become more popular as a residential area and has undergone significant gentrification.
Transport Links
North Strathfield Railway Station is well serviced by train on the Northern Line of the CityRail network. The area is also well served by buses.
Shopping
A small group of shops and cafes is located opposite the North Strathfield railway statio and the site of the former Arnott’s Biscuits factory in George Street has been redeveloped as the ‘Bakehouse Quarter’ and feature office space, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shops.

Strathfield North Public School can be found here, as well as the McDonald College, a school of performing arts.
