Warriewood is a suburb in northern Sydney, located 26 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Pittwater Council. Warriewood is part of the Northern Beaches region.

History

Warriewood takes its name from the Warriewood Estate that was subdivided in 1906 by Henry F. Halloran, who had purchased it from the McPherson family.

Transport Links

The area is well served by buses and is in close proximity to Pittwater Road, providing excellent road links around the region.

Shopping and Recreation

There is a shopping mall with a selection of shops and a wider range just down the road at Warringah Mall. Warriewood also boasts a cinema complex, miniature golf course and a beautiful beach, popular with surfers and swimmers.

Schools

Warriewood is home to the Catholic school Mater Maria College. A large sepection of both public and private schools can be found in neighbouring Narrabeen and Elanora Heights.
