All the stars are aligning for the Sydney property market to move up a gear till Christmas and then really start to fly come 2021.
I know job keeper, job seeker, high unemployment, all the doom and gloom, but as quick as this economy turned off, it will turn on again just as quick.
- Ridiculously low interest rates and the lowest for a long time. Investors will come back into the marketplace and property in general because keeping money in the bank is not earning any yield at present.
- Lending restrictions will be relaxed early next year, therefore loans will be a lot easier to get and more buyers will come into the marketplace, increasing competition and raising property prices.
- Stock levels have plummeted and therefore supply is now lower than buyer demand pushing prices up. Auction clearance rates last weekend were the highest in a few years.
- People are not travelling so they have brought forward their downsizing and upsizing plans, renovation plans, investment plans. They have actually had time to think about all their property plans and they are ready to act on these.
- More people are working from home now, and need more room for a study etc, so upsizing is on the agenda for a lot of people.
- And yes there will be a COVID-19 vaccine in the mix very soon which should get travel back up and going.
- The government stimulus that will be coming into the economy over the next 12 Months will be the biggest we have ever seen in this country's history.
