History

Transport Links
All transport to and from Cremorne is by road or water. Military Road connects Cremorne to Neutral Bay and the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the West, and to Mosman to the East. Transport between Military Road and Sydney CBD is available via numerous Sydney Buses routes, providing regular services to the business districts in North Sydney and Chatswood and to Sydney's Northern Beaches. The Sydney Ferries Mosman route runs to Cremorne's two wharves, Cremorne Point and Old Cremorne, to Sydney CBD's Circular Quay.
Recreation and Schools
Cremorne features an historic cinema, the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, built in 1935. In an Art Deco style, it features a Wurlitzer pipe-organ that is played at selected film screenings. The main commercial area within Cremorne is to be found along Military Road, with a selection of shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as small businesses and office space. The ever-popular Taronga Zoo is just 3km away. Cremorne’s convenient location means that you can experience the many quiet parks and water views of an outer suburb, together with the convenience and energy of the inner city, and many facilities within a short distance.
