Male or Female, who gets the best price for the seller?

Peter Kelaher is the Director of Sydney's largest buyers Agency PK Property Search & Negotiators and has been buying property for his clients off Sydney's top real estate agents for 17 Yrs now.

He says he knows them all intimately and if he was to sell his home personally, he would go with a Female agent.

He says we can sometimes purchase up to twenty properties per month, and our buyers agents find that it's the female agents that put that little bit more effort in for their vendor.

Kelaher says that his wife is a great negotiator and she didn't learn it off him, she simply knows what's best and understands how to get it. He says that this trait shines within the female agents, and therefore achieves their client's higher prices at the end of the day.

He also says that in general they dot their I's and cross their t's a lot more than the male agents. He also agrees that he is generalising to an extent, and says that successful agents no matter if they are male or female need to be highly organised and have a high level of skill when it comes to negotiation.

He also says that the male agents do very well when it comes to obtaining new property listings, because the old saying is women buy houses, and men sell them.

Therefore males have a tendency to list their homes with other males.

Kelaher says once again this is a generalisation, and at the end of the day a seller will list their house with who ever they feel comfortable, male or female.

Kelaher says because of his inside knowledge of all the Sydney real estate agents he decide to set up a parent company called PK Property Sales Advisory Services that advises sellers on who to use, and most of all who not to use, when selling their property.
